Tenants on top as rent costs crash

The vacancy rate in Perth is now at more than 5 per cent, with many tenants breaking leases to purchase their own properties. With the vacancy rate at its highest since December 1995, landlords are being encouraged to offer incentives to entice tenants. Momentum Wealth managing director Damian Collins advises landlords are better accepting a reduction in rent than having a vacant property.
